The Halton Company, already one of Allen County’s major employers, announced last week that it’s also bringing its North American headquarters to its Scottsville plant.
With a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday, The Halton Company, Allen County-Scottsville Industrial Development Authority (IDA), state and local officials and utility officers celebrated the recently-announced Halton Americas Corporate headquarters and research/development Scottsville facility.
To be constructed by Bowling Green-based Scott, Murphy and Daniels, the $2.4 million, 10,300 square-foot facility will enhance design and product efficiency and will include state-of-the-art energy efficiency, such as geothermal and chilled-beam technology, said Halton Americas President Rick Bagwell.
The company, which first opened its Scottsville plant in 1997, now employs 140 people, and this project will add another dozen or so jobs.

Halton—an international industry leader in air ventilation/filtration systems, especially for the restaurant industry—expects to move into the new facility by next January. Its headquarters are currently based in Western Kentucky University’s Business Accelerator in Bowling Green.
