School Systems are at the heart of any community.
The Allen County School System serves all of Allen County including the city of Scottsville, with approximately 3,000 students currently enrolled. The school system reflects a progressive approach to education with its many modern advances in teaching and its beautifully designed architectural buildings. The school system also operates the Allen County Area Vocational Education Center.
Student’s graduating from Allen County-Scottsville High School have a plethora of post secondary education choices. There are over 30 colleges, universities and technical colleges within 60 miles. Among those are Western Kentucky University (20,000 students), Vanderbilt University and the Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College. Scottsville is also the home of the Scottsville Branch of Lindsey Wilson College.
Students graduating from the Allen County School System finish with all the necessary skills to compete in today’s modern technological world. And with the close proximity of so many excellent post secondary schools, Allen Countians are able to further their education and apply those skills to jobs with South Central Kentucky Employers.
